Future Forest Research (FFR) industry consortium – Acted as project manager and operations manager to deliver a major, multi-million dollar government and industry-funded consortium between a government research organization and the major New Zealand forest-growing companies. 3. Toitu Te Waonui – A multi-iwi (First Nations – NZ Maori), multi-organization collaboration, which assessed new business models to establish plantation forests on large areas of unproductive Māori land. As a result, successfully gained additional funding to continue the concept.

Years in the events industry: 15+
To me, being an event hustler means: Being the strong force behind the scenes to ensure an incredible experience is had by everyone.
The top 2 most surprising things I’ve learned about the events industry since starting are: How much goes on behind the scenes that event attendees are blissfully unaware of. How awe-inspiring and creative the human brain is when stretched outside its box to achieve breath taking exhibits and experiences.
How did you get your start in the events industry? I am a project manager by trade, it was a natural part of my role to organise events. I am detail orientated, organised and always aim to exceed delivery. I try to include as much fun (as appropriate) along the way as bringing your team with you and not against you made me someone they wanted to work with.
My biggest event industry pet peeve is: Budget too low for the creative expectations!
