If you can’t tell by my tweets, Facebook posts and all my other social media interactions, I love to talk about events and the tools that help us do what we do better. What is the “problem” that your tool seeks to solve?
Technology is entering the event space lightning fast. It has tremendous impact and possibilities. So after having to catch up with websites and social media, now there is mobile as well. Being a seasoned event planner wasn’t supposed to turn you into a champion software developer.

twoppy makes creating a mobile event guide hassle free, so you can focus on your visitor’s needs instead of mastering technology project management. And best of all: it is available for free.

What is the best audience for this tool? Corporate events? Social? Other? Large? Small?
All events that want to communicate the ‘who, what, where and when’ of the events’ activities to their visitors in real time benefit from twoppy. So it can be conferences, festivals, or even zoos. Because twoppy is available for free, it is excellent for events with limited marketing budgets. But it is definitely capable of handling large and more complex events too.

What does your tool help event planners do better?
twoppy helps the event planner to focus on content delivery rather than software development. By providing a fully self-service platform event planners are less dependent on others to get their information on their event visitors’ mobile device.

How is your tool different from/better than the competition?
First of all our tool is unsurpassed in simplicity and usability. The content management system of the app (the organizer section) is virtually ‘fool proof’. Without any instruction you are able to create and publish your own mobile guide completely, within a matter of hours.

Furthermore twoppy wants to service the event visitor by providing a single app, multiple event solution. You can use twoppy while attending conferences, festivals and tradeshows, but also while visiting the zoo, amusement parks or at the museum. The needs for visitors of these different events are centered around the four questions ‘who, what, when and where’. There’s increasing evidence that smartphone users are fed up with installing different apps for the same purpose.
Finally we aim at reducing time and budget issues, starting with a Freemium business model. Use the – actually very extensive – basic functionality for free, and pay if you want more. Quite simple!
