I spend a lot of my time talking about event technology products – apps and various software that are created by people for the event industry. But there are so many other products out there that completely enhance the way we plan and host events that were never necessarily designed for our industry. Sometimes, we can find something that fits our needs, even if it wasn’t designed for us. Here are a few products that I think every event planner needs to use.
Dropbox
Dropbox is pretty much a free service, unless you want to send a massive number of files back and forth. Basically, it allows you to share files between members of a large group and have access to them from the cloud. As an event planner, this is a great way to share files with clients and make sure you have access to everything you need wherever you are. One thing to note is that I never recommend sharing confidential documents this way. While you can make sure that your file link is private, I just think it’s safer to not have your confidential documents in any place that could be hacked. At the very least, make sure that you have backup copies elsewhere.
