I love, love, love all things events and technology. If you can’t tell by my tweets, Facebook posts and all my other social media interactions, I love to talk about events and the tools that help us do what we do better. In June 2011, I partnered with an organization called imbookin to bring you PlannerTech – an event technology showcase. This weekly blog series is going to help continue to expose you to new tools you need to be aware of as an event planner. Also, in case you missed it, PlannerTech could be coming soon to your area!
Today, we’re talking about Leaderboarded
Your name: Toby Beresford
Company/Tool Name: Leaderboarded
Website: leaderboarded.com
Twitter: @leaderboarded
Facebook: facebook.com/leaderboarded

What is the “problem” that your tool seeks to solve?
How to ensure event attendees network with each other digitally as well as face to face.
What is the best audience for this tool? Corporate events? Social? Other? Large? Small?
A leaderboard will work at any size event though we’ve found between 50 and 500 people it works really well.
Lights up the twittersphere with your event hashtag and engages attendees with each other on social media.
It’s like an enhanced tweet wall where you can not only see what’s being said, but more interestingly, who’s saying it.
What is the single coolest feature of your product?
The wow factor comes from our animated leaderboards that look like TV screens. It makes people feel really special as they see their name and photo up in lights alongside others at the event.
Anything else we need to know?
We are offering free one-day event leaderboards to the first 50 readers of this blog who respond. Email sales@leaderboarded.com with offer code LIZKING in subject to find out more.
