I had the pleasure of recently sitting down with a unique floral company here in NYC to learn more about the successes and work in our industry. With so many florists in NYC, it’s hard to find companies that stick out and bring something new to the table. Blush Designs NY, however, has found their niche amongst the hubbub of the city. Finding inspiration in monochromatic designs, they have created some stunning designs for all kinds of clients. Enjoy my interview with them and, of course, visit their website for more information on working with Blush Designs!
What is the best thing about being in the event industry in NYC?
The event industry in NYC is constantly changing and growing. No two events are ever the same, and we can look at other designers’ work and be inspired by what they’re doing. New Yorkers take what they do to another level, and it’s exciting to be a part of something greater.
Who are some of your clients?
Our clients include Glamour Magazine, Brides Magazine, Red PR, Real Housewives of New York, Burgess Yachts, and Undertone.
What is unique about your style?
Blush Designs is a full service floral design and styling company, and we offer all decor related services for social and corporate events. We often get contacted by clients who want a monochromatic design. Within the scope of monochromatic designs, we use every shade of a particular color from the lightest to its deepest shade. The varying shades give texture and add depth to any arrangement.
If you had one to do one of your events all over again, which would it be and why?
We learned a lot from one of our first events. At the time, we were so new that we didn’t set the parameters of how Blush would be working within the scope of the event. We learned from that event that the more information we have, the better. Now we know the type of questions to ask but also to make sure we ask every question we have early on in the process.
