On a faraway Monday night back in the month of November, Liz King Events, together with eventwist and a host of other wonderful partners*, hosted a lively evening of food and fun at the financial district’s first gastropub, The Fulton. Actually, it was only a couple of weeks ago, on the 14th, but it seems like a million years ago. That’s because it’s holiday event season in New York City, and we’re now officially going out of our minds! Between planning and attending parties and other social events, the event profs community is now in fult tilt overdrive… which is precisely why Liz got the idea in the first place – to create a yearly tradition of a purely social event for the event planning community, before we all get too busy to enjoy ourselves.
So I guess this means we’re kind of reminiscing here. (sigh) Remember in the olden days, when we went to a party and we weren’t thinking about the five other parties happening that week, or that same NIGHT?? Well this, like all things (childbirth, bad dinner theater, primary season) eventually ends. That means that in January, we might find ourselves tapping our fingers on our i-pads, wondering how we can have a little fun before the weekend rolls around again.
