Event Tech of the Week: Badge2Match

I love, love, love all things events and technology. If you can't tell by my tweets, Facebook posts and all my other social media interactions, I love to talk about events and the tools that help us do what we do better. In June, I partnered with an organization called Pogby to bring you PlannerTech - an event technology showcase. This weekly blog series is going to help continue to expose you to new tools you need to be aware of as an event planner. Also, in case you missed it, PlannerTech could be coming soon to your area!

Today, we're talking about Badge2Match

What is the "problem" that your tool seeks to solve?
The interactive networking badges solve the issue of making the first contact at events and ensure that delegates indeed meet other delegates with whom they have a common interest. They ensure more fun and interaction at events and that delegates leave the event with good contacts made. In short Badge2Match it solves the issue of easy and effective networking at events.

What is the best audience for this tool? Corporate events? Social? Other? Large? Small? Basically the interactive badges can be used for all kind of events as long as there are at least 100 delegates attending and networking plays an important part.

What does your tool help event planners do better?
Event planners will think more about on what basis their delegates wish to network. By using our interactive badges event planners will focus a lot more on the networking aspect of their event and will have a better understanding on the networking needs of their customers. As delegates will leave the event with valuable contacts the ROI for all involved will increase a lot.

How is your tool different from/better than the competition?
The networking badges are unique in the market. The fact that the badges light up in the same color in case of a match is not seen anywhere else in the market. The closest competitors might be Spotme or nTag, but Badge2Match is far more easier to use (both for event planner and delegate), is a lot cheaper and more intuitive. The Icebreaker function of the badge to start a discussion is also unique.
What is the single coolest feature of your product? That it is intelligent and that the badges know what color to select to indicate a match.

Anything else we need to know?
We also provide an event app with matchmaking features called App2Match. In addition in 2009 we won the prestigious Dutch Innovation Award from the Ministry of Economic Affairs together with a check of Euro 50,000.
