The New Generation of Name Tags

Being obsessed with social media, I decided to re-think the way that we use name tags at events. When I was about to host the social media lounge at BizBash, I created the name tags below that helped attendees interact on social media. The stickers were easily affixed to the plastic name tags given out at the expo and added the sm touch. They were quite the hit and we’ve used them at several events since then. You can see below a few tweets sent at a media event I attended last week. What do you think about them? Should they include more info? I would LOVE to hear your feedback!

That’s excellent idea! How about adding a QR code with LinkedIn profile or Twitter or AboutMe so that people can even scan the badges and take away crucial bits and pieces of info (sm)?

Love the idea! I agree with the QR codes. I would create 5-10 different codes and randomly give them out to your guests. Each code would link guests to various pages within your site. This way they have to be social in Real Life to see all the cool content you are presenting about.
Additionally I would add an event #hashtag so people can make new friends and continue the conversation under one tag.
